4 weeks!

Caden is 4 weeks old today - I cannot believe how fast the time is going!  I feel like he has grown SO much and I am feeling a million times better than this time 4 weeks ago. It's amazing how the body heals when you give it time:) The biggest differences that Justin and I have noticed in Caden is that his eyes are open a lot more during the day and he actually looks at us! He loves being on his changing table, taking baths, and the new hooded monkey towel that daddy bought him:)

 

My sister Teri was kind enough to work remotely for a week here so that she could help me and spend time with Caden. Caden had a great time with his Aunt T and I really appreciated all of her help!

T is an amazing cook! She had Justin and I choose meals for the week from her favorites, and made dinner for us every night. We are still enjoying the leftovers this week! My mom, sister, and brother all love to cook and are very good at it. Luckily I like to eat so it's a good match:) This is the homemade blackberry pie - delicious!

Thanks SO much Aunt T - we love and miss you very much! Caden had a great time with his Aunt T and can't wait for her and Uncle Brando to move back to Colorado:)

It's funny, I am a very schedule-oriented person but since Caden was born I usually don't know what day of the week or month it is, and I only know what time of day it is because I keep track of Caden's feedings:) Our lives have been turned upside-down but I am absolutely loving my new role as a mom and Justin can't get enough of his son.

Justin and Caden have very similar sleeping positions and wake-up rituals. I could watch them interact and sleep together forever - SO precious!

My first week with just Caden and I is going well! I was a little nervous about not having any help, but we are having a great time and I am so glad that I decided to take a leave of absence from work next year. I can't get enough of this little guy!
