1) Play in the bathroom. Specifically, splashing in and flush the toilet. We have decided to keep the bathroom doors closed because those rooms just spell trouble! He also likes to go through the trash can.....which brings me to my next story. While I was brushing my teeth yesterday morning, Caden was going through the trash can. Usually not a big deal, but I didn't know that Justin had thrown his empty bottle of shampoo away without the lid on. Needless to say I look over to see Caden "drinking" from the bottle. OH. MY. GOODNESS. I freaked out! I had no idea if he had swallowed any, but his breath smelled like shampoo, so he at least got a taste:( I called poison control and they said that it was unlikely that he swallowed any, but if he did, we would know it because he would vomit and have diarrhea. I'm happy to say that he never showed either of those symptoms. It's times like these that I have to lean on other moms. They make me feel better when they share their "oh, that's nothing, you should have seen what Johnny did...." stories. People without kids give a very surprised/judgmental look....just wait!
2) Shake his bottle / sippy cup. We are trying to transition Caden from a bottle to a sippy cup. The AAP recommends doing this sometime between 12 and 18 months, but Dr. Dad has a STRONG opinion that we need to so it ASAP (something about development in the mouth?). It's going pretty well, but he definitely drinks more from the bottle. Luckily, Caden never got attached to pacifiers so we're not having to fight that battle!

3) Driving his car. Caden likes his car better than the stroller. It gives him much more freedom. He rides this thing just like his Dad rides a snowmobile....something Justin has mentioned a few times.

Fun with Dad
3) Climbing on furniture. Sliding down off furniture. Pressing buttons.
It's hard to believe that our little monkey is going to be one next week!
