Many people in our family LOVE coconut cream pie, so I have been working on perfecting my recipe. I finally have it down and have made quite a few lately!

August 12 was my Grandpa Reid's birthday and the family gathered for lunch at Helga's German Restaurant and Deli. Unfortunately I forgot my camera:( This is a picture from a few years back when we celebrated at White Fence Farm:)
On August 18, Justin's sister Amanda got engaged to her longtime boyfriend John in Estes Park. We are SO excited for them - can't wait to celebrate at their wedding next year!

I have known my friend Jamie since 4th grade! It was her birthday on August 24 so I made her a German Chocolate cake. She is due this Thursday - August 30 and looks amazing! In this picture she is 39 weeks pregnant and I am 28.5 so our kids will only be ~ 10 weeks apart.....SO exciting!
This past weekend my Mom hosted a reception for family members who couldn't make it to Bryan and Reese's wedding in Mexico. She made some amazing food, as usual:)
The gorgeous (and delicious) cake that my Mom ordered from Cakes Amore. The bottom layer was coconut cream - seriously, probably the best cake that I have ever eaten, and I am an expert! The top layer was butter pecan:)
