New House!

We were running a little low on garage space so we casually looked around for new houses near our current home. We absolutely love our neighborhood and neighbors so we didn't want to go too far! The top two items on our list were a larger yard and more garage space. They is a lot of new construction in our area, but the only builder that would let Justin customize the garages was Remington. It just so happened that they had a larger lot that is only three streets away from our current home. We signed a contract and spent the summer making structural changes and design selections. Remington had made the entire process really great! Since it's only a few blocks over, we go visit  every day:)

They started digging for our foundation on September 17. They drilled to place caissons, which was really cool for us to watch!

One of the cement truck divers had his puppy pitbull in his truck, which he was really excited to share with the kids! Andie was a little scared at first, but warmed up to "Raider":)

They roughed-in the plumbing and set up these metal cross beams in the basement last week. They dropped off framing materials and should be ready to pour the basement and garage floors next! 

We are very grateful that we didn't have to sell our current house before they started on the new one:) Right now the timeline puts completion in April/May. However, at the rate that they seem to be moving, we'll believe it when we see it!
