We went to the Smutz cabin for 4th of July:) We thought leaving Thursday night would help us avoid some traffic, but boy were we wrong! The usual two hour trip was 3.5 hours.

Luckily this delicious boiled white icing cake was waiting for us when we got there:) Papa made it for Justin because he was voted Best Dentist and Best Cosmetic Dentist in Arvada! We are SO proud of him!

The next day was the Columbine Lake parade and picnic! We dressed the part and decorated the ATV's and boat:)
We usually have to get some ice cream in Grand Lake. This time it was our morning snack:) Caden always gets Death by Chocolate....he and Justin "share"

We had lots of fun that wasn't captured on camera too. We took Caden into Grand Lake on the 4th for the fireworks display, played in the sand at Columbine Lake and Grand Lake, went swimming at the clubhouse, and stayed up late (adults) talking, playing games, and cooking s'mores around the fire pit!
