Hawaii Part I

We took a family trip to Hawaii February 5-13. We hadn't been on vacation since Landen was born and Justin worked SO hard last year to be in the position to buy into the practice, so we were more than ready for some family time in the sun! After much deliberation we decided to go to Disney's Aulani resort in Ko Olina on the island of Oahu. It was AMAZING! Traveling that far with three kids under five was tricky at times, but SO worth the memories!

Our littles all ready to go!

Kids with backpacks and luggage is as cute as kids in helmets, and kids in goggles. I can't get enough!

Cruising on the train at DIA!

All ready for an 8-hour flight!

The flight ended peacefully, but there was a rough patch....Andie knocked Caden into Justin which woke up Landen after only 20 minutes of napping. Landen also had 2 diarrhea blow-outs. Not ideal, but we made it!

SO happy to be in paradise!

Justin got onto the plane with clean clothes. His clothes were SO messy from holding little Landimal the entire 8-hour flight, but that kid is a total Daddy's boy and Justin LOVES it!

A little exercise after a long flight:)

SO tired! Between missing his nap and the 3 hour time difference, this kid was wiped out!

It was a little cloudy on our first full day in Hawaii, but that didn't stop this crew from hitting the beach!

Burying Landen's legs!

Sandy boy!

Sandy girl!

Boogie boarding in the lagoon with Dad!

Happy little guy!

This is Landen's thumbs-up:)

Checking out the Koi!

Silly girls!

 Infinity pool with Daddy!

Caden LOVED the slides! Here he is going down backwards....

And face first!

Our beloved Broncos made it to the Super Bowl! Justin was sweet enough to make the day a Bronco day for me even though we were in Hawaii! TT made Andie and I these awesome headbands to match her and Em!

Self-timer on the camera:)

Then a very nice lady came and took a million pictures of us with several different backgrounds. I'm not going to lie, a picture of all five of us in our Bronco gear on a beach in Hawaii is probably my favorite picture ever!

Pre-game lunch at the Monkey Pod!

This girl....

Justin and the kids were getting a little restless so he took the kids to dinner while I watched the presentation of the Lombardi trophy:) We saw Stitch on our way back from dinner:)

On Monday we rented a car (and car seats) and headed to the Dole Plantation and North Shore. The kids were super excited about the train ride at the Dole Plantation!

Family selfie on the train!

The famous Dole Pineapple whip!

After the Dole Plantation, we headed to the North Shore to see the incredible waves that are so famous for surfing! The waves were particularly large this year as they held "The Eddie" for only the ninth time in history. The waves have to be 30 ft. or taller in order for the competition to be held, so it was pretty cool to see those waves!

I love how sweet Caden is to Landen! And there's a surfer actually riding a wave in the background!

Loving the North Shore sand!

Chasing birds!

Building a village from driftwood:)

Jumping the waves!

We had to hit up the famous Matsumoto's Shaved Ice on our way back from the North Shore. They had tons of flavors, but I definitely prefer the shaved ice at the resort. The kids were excited about this picture into the sun:)

Landen loved it!

Our little sugar bug liked her pineapple the best:)

Cado and Andie!
