We were so grateful for the three day weekend! It was an awesome opportunity for me to catch up on some sleep and gave us both time to work on school stuff. We couldn't resist the outdoors as we rode our bikes from Frisco to Vail pass with Justin's dad Eric and grandma Kathy on Sunday and played tennis with my parents on Monday. The weather was beautiful in the mountains on Sunday (74 degrees) and even better here in Littleton on Monday (70 degrees). Heat is one trigger for nausea so I thoroughly enjoyed the cooler temperatures and am looking forward to the fall weather even more than usual! You might be able to tell in the picture that I have a very slight baby bump. It's currently in the awkward stage where it looks more like a food baby:(
In other news my sister Teri got engaged to a wonderful man named Brandon in Napa a few weeks ago. They are planning a September 2011 wedding so this will be a busy year! Teri really wants Baby J to be in the wedding so maybe he/she will be my bouquet:)
I just started my 14th week - we made it to the second trimester! Justin has informed me that our baby can now squint, frown, and pee. Interesting fact that I learned last spring when reading my Anatomy textbook: fetal urine is released into the amniotic fluid........ crazy to think he/she is swimming around in their urine! Baby J is about the size of a lemon so we are working our way through the produce section:)
