So Perfect

The nursery has been done for a few weeks now, but I am just getting around to posting the pics. We decided together that we both really like the jungle theme. When Justin gets a vision he really goes for it and I am so grateful for how much love he put into our son's room. I can't even explain how happy I am with the way that it all turned out! As I've mentioned in previous blogs, Justin made the crib - he didn't put it together from a "kit", he literally made it from nothing. He also made the changing table and helped his Dad with the dresser. It's hard to explain how much work actually goes into building furniture to someone who has never done it or seen it done before. Justin designed all of the furniture to the 16th of an inch on google sketch. He created this gorgeous furniture from cherry wood. It's not just cutting, routing, gluing, and screwing.....putting the stain and finish takes a ton of time as well!

A lot of people helped put our amazing nursery together, which we are SO grateful for - THANK YOU!!!!!

Eric (Justin's dad) built the dresser and helped Justin stain, finish, and assemble all of the furniture.
Justin's Grandma Kathy sewed the bench seat cushion, matching brown pillows, and helped with the staining and finishing on the crib.
My parents bought us the glider that took us forever to find! We must have sat in over a hundred chairs. This one is perfect because it reclines, glides, and the color couldn't be better!
My incredibly talented friends Jamie and Leah painted the trees next to the crib and Jamie made the letters that are above the changing table.

My favorite thing in the whole room is the crib. Justin spent countless hours making sure that the crib's measurements were safe and it looked perfect. Justin's Mom and sisters bought us the bedding that we loved so much. It is so beautiful and our little guy is so lucky to have the opportunity to sleep in such a special place:)

Like I said, the vision was Justin's. He wanted the window treatments, the trees with the monkeys and letters hanging from the rope, and he sewed the little green pillows on the bench seat. The one idea that I can take credit for is the animal drawer pulls...........not attaching them, just picking them out:) The picture doesn't do them justice.....they are SO cute (monkey, alligator, elephant, tiger).

We can't wait to bring our little son home and spend time with him in his room. Less than 2 weeks to go......we are so excited!

So adorable! You two did a fantastic job! And I can't believe the baby is coming soon!!! I can't wait to meet him and see his cute-as-a-button room in person.
