6 Months

Caden's 6-month birthday was last Friday. I cannot believe that it has been 6 months! Time is going by SO fast. Grandma Smutz (G!G!) made Caden a delicious birthday cake that we (Justin, Kathy, my Grandpa Verschoor, and I) got to enjoy:) We got Caden a really cool walker. My Mom and Dad bought one before us and Caden LOVED it so it was an easy buy! We also took Caden shopping for some new clothes because he is quite the long baby. We got him some super cute outfits! Justin usually hates clothes shopping but really enjoys it for Caden. We bought a lot of polo shorts and cargo shorts.....he definitely looks like a mini-Justin and I LOVE it:)

Caden had his 6-month appointment today! He is one tall, skinny boy with a little head:) Here are the stats on our little man:

Height = 27.5 inches (83rd percentile)
Weight = 15 pounds 7.3 ounces (13th percentile)
Head Circumference = 16.5 inches (7th percentile)

Caden not enjoying the head circumference measurement

Things are busy as usual! Teri's wedding is just about 2 weeks away so my Mom and I are getting crafty and spending lots of time at Hobby Lobby:) Justin is preparing for boards while managing his patients at the school and being on rotations two days a week. The highlight of my day is when Justin gets home and we have an hour or two of family time.

Daddy's favorite game.....flying baby!

We love watching Caden eat new foods! Some things we've learned....(1) he does not like sweet potatoes, (2) he likes to feed himself, even if no food actually goes into his mouth, and (3) his poop smells much worse than when he was just having breast milk:( Caden is still crawling ALL over the place which has made my job a lot tougher! He gets into EVERYTHING! He loves to open and shut doors and drawers and eat shoe laces. Here are his latest tricks.......the first one is me teaching him to stand up and the second is him babbling, standing (with support), and dancing!
