Video Camera & Rice Cereal

Alright, so I'm not really sure where August went....things have been crazy and here we are with only our second post:( Caden is changing every day and we are absolutely LOVING every minute! School and Cross Country have started so life is busy! Justin started his rotations and we are so blessed that he was assigned a clinic in Arvada on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This has cut his commute in half on these days and his last patient is is usually finished by 3:00 so he is home 2.5 hours earlier than the days he has to go all the way to campus! Amazing. Some pictures.........

Caden "standing"

Aunt T and Uncle Brando bought Caden a wagon which he will cruise down the aisle in:)

A very wise person once told me that boys love their toys, and their toys just get bigger and more expensive as they get older. True fact! Many of you know Justin loves to snowmobile and ATV - thank you Eric for having two of each of those:) Other than "machines" Justin loves to buy tools and electronics. With Caden reaching some milestones early, he got really excited about getting a video camera. I thought w could just get a less expensive one that would tide us over until Justin was out of school. No such luck. Justin researches his purchases like crazy, for which I am very grateful. His choice was the Canon Vixia MF M41. Justin could list a million features he loves about this camera but the new HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor was how he talked me into it. We've had the camera for a week now and we couldn't be happier with the videos!

Caden is now 5 and 1/2 months old. Seriously! With our doctor's recommendation, we decided not to start him on "solid foods" until around 6 months. She said that we could start the rice cereal a little before and I couldn't hold Justin off any longer. He has been SO excited to feed Caden "solid foods"! So we bought organic, whole grain rice cereal, mixed it with breast milk, and filmed the momentous occasion with our new camera......Click on link to watch Caden's first solid food.   http://youtu.be/l2wZGjc0AUU

I still need a little work on my filming skills, but Justin is having a great time making videos of the little man:) Here are some pictures from the second feedng.....

We are off to Vail on Thursday for Jamie's wedding! We are SO excited to celebrate with her, Alex, and all of their family and friends:)

Sara, he's quite the little man! My goodness he's growing so fast. And I have to say he looks more and more like Justin everyday. :) I'm excited to see you ALL on Friday!
