My Beach Boys

I teach on Wednesday mornings and Justin has Wednesdays off from his last ACTS rotation, so he has enjoyed the "man" time with Caden. Before my classes started two weeks ago, Justin brought up the idea that we should get Caden a sandbox. I politely told him it wasn't a good idea for the following two reasons (1) we don't have a yard and (2) Caden eats sand. I'm pretty sure Justin had already decided to make Caden a sandbox, he was just "running it by me." Once he has his mind set on something, there is not much that I can do.

I heard some commotion during my office hours and looked out the window to see Justin unloading 650 pounds of sand from the Tahoe with Caden along for the ride in the hiking backpack. I wish I had a picture of this to share! I calmly made it through the rest of my classes and came out to find the Beach Boys blaring, drinks with umbrellas, and Justin and Caden playing in our new sandbox. On our porch.

SO SERIOUS! Did I mention that Caden likes to eat sand? LOTS of sand:( Pooped it out the next day......

 
I think Justin knew that I couldn't get mad after seeing how much excitement it brought both of my boys! Whenever Justin wants to take Caden out to the sandbox he says "let's go to the beach Caden" and his little face just lights up! Priceless. So worth all of the mess that the sandbox brings:)
